The PZM series Hydraulic Immersion Basket Mill is an advanced all-in-one wet grinding and dispersion machine purpose-built for multi-color batch production, pigment color pastes, and industrial paint manufacturing. By performing pre-dispersion, sub-micron bead milling, and final letdown within a single mobile vessel, it completely eliminates the need for auxiliary feed pumps, external hoses, and transfer manifolds — preventing expensive pigment hold-up and cutting batch changeover downtime by over 60%.
Self-Recirculating High-Shear Immersion Dynamics
During operation, the top suction impeller pulls liquid and agglomerated pigment powders downward into the double-walled grinding basket. Inside the chamber, high-wear-resistant ceramic grinding pins energize micro zirconia beads (1.0 – 2.0 mm), generating intense collision and hydraulic shear. The dispersed slurry exits through the bottom dynamic separation screen, where a lower Cowles dispersing disc propels the material outward to maintain full-tank axial circulation.
