POLYC Basket mill machine is a new type of grinding equipment that integrates grinding and dispersion. It aims to achieve effective grinding, dispersion, and mixing of materials. Its notable features are small particle size and uniform grinding, and it is widely used in various industries such as paint, ink, and coatings.Basket mill working principle: Its main grinding chamber is different from traditional sand mills, as it is connected to multiple ceramic grinding pins on a central high-speed rotating shaft, which are placed in a basket chamber containing small grinding beads. The material to be processed is added to the container, and as the shaft rotates, the grinding beads in the basket stir and grind the material to form a fine and uniform dispersion.
Working principle: When motor drives the shaft at a high speed , create the upper part of basket chamber vortex and a strong suction force was generated by self-absorbing impeller, thus materials is inhaled into inner chamber. The beads driven by pins inside the chamber produces force in all directions and sunder material through constant collision and friction.
After materials out from grinding basket bottom sieve separator, it will be dispersed by high speed disc and returns to basket chamber repeating grinding cycle. That is why smaller particle size and narrower particle distribution can be achieved finally.
Compared with traditional horizontal and vertical sand mills, basket mills do not require pumps and piping systems. The grinding basket can be raised and lowered, with simple operation, easy cleaning and maintenance, easy discoloration, less residue, high grinding efficiency, and fine fineness.

POLYC have two main hot sale basket mill. One is common type, the basket chamber doesn’t have jacket for cooling, another type has cooling jacket on its basket. the basket chamber is a closed cooling type, grinding basket chamber with jacket for connection cooling water better cooling material during grinding, with a 0.5mm gap between the bottom chamber and the material SS04. It is treated with fading and has high wear resistance.
According to customer requirements, grinding pins of different materials can be customized, but ceramic and hard alloy are generally available in the market. POLYC usually provides customers with ceramic pins, because it not only has high hardness, wear resistance, and are not easily worn out, but also have zero pollution and will not affect the materials produced by customers.
Normal type and vacuum type Basket mill can be chosen
The basket grinding barrel can be customized with jacket for connection cooling water with cooling function. Equip with temp. sensor and temp. control system if material temp. reach to the max. pre-set data the basket mill will stop automatically. Not only can it stabilize material properties, but it can also improve equipment safety and lifespan, preventing equipment accidents caused by high temperatures.
