The PZM series Hydraulic Immersion Basket Mill is an all-in-one wet grinding and dispersion machine designed for flexible batch production, pilot plant trials, and high-volume industrial processing. Combining high-speed pre-dispersion and intensive bead milling inside a single vessel, it eliminates the need for external slurry feed pumps, connecting hoses, valves, and piping manifolds — reducing material loss to near-zero and slashing batch changeover downtime.
Self-Recirculating High-Shear Immersion Dynamics
During operation, the upper suction impeller generates a powerful vortex that continuously draws raw slurry into the double-walled grinding basket. Inside the basket, high-speed milling pins energize micro ceramic grinding beads to deliver intensive impact and shear. The refined slurry exits through the bottom dynamic screen, where a lower Cowles dispersing disc propels the material outward to maintain full tank circulation. This continuous cycle delivers narrow sub-micron particle size distributions across formulations with viscosities up to 8,000 cps.
