Process Overview: Conquering Extreme Viscosity

Manufacturing UV curable inks, offset printing inks, and conductive pastes presents a unique rheological challenge: the material is an extremely stiff, non-flowing paste with viscosities regularly exceeding 1,000,000 cps. Standard paint dispersers and horizontal bead mills will instantly fail or clog under these conditions.

The POLYC Turnkey Ink Production Line is a purpose-built cascade system. It begins with the PMX Vacuum Planetary Mixer to forcefully knead resin and pigments under deep vacuum (-0.098 MPa) to prevent air entrapment. The thick paste is then gravity-fed or hydraulically pressed into the PTM Triple Roller Mill, where immense nip-shear forces crush agglomerates down to sub-micron fineness while strictly controlling temperature (ΔT < 10°C) to prevent premature UV curing. Finally, the PHD Hydraulic Discharge Press extrudes the finished ink directly into packaging cartridges or pails without waste.

Core Equipment in the Production Line

Step 1: PMX Vacuum Planetary Mixer

Performs high-torque orbital kneading of raw resins and pigments. The vacuum-sealed tank prevents micro-bubbles, ensuring a flawless base paste ready for fine milling.

Step 2: PTM Precision Triple Roller Mill

Applies immense differential shear across chilled alloy rollers to crush nanoparticles. Internal water cooling strictly caps frictional heat (ΔT < 10°C) to protect UV-sensitive formulations.

Step 3: PHD Hydraulic Discharge Press

Because heavy ink does not flow, the mobile mixing tank is docked into a heavy-duty hydraulic ram that presses the material out with zero residual waste on the tank walls.

Step 4: Ex-Proof SCADA Automation

The entire line is synchronized via a centralized PLC touchscreen console. Available in full ATEX/IECEx explosion-proof execution for safe operation with volatile solvents.
