Product Overview & Operating Principle
The PLM series Concentric Dual-Shaft Lacquer Mixer is a heavy-duty compounding machine engineered specifically for high-viscosity thixotropic formulations, real stone paints (granite-look paints), marble flake coatings, and textured architectural plasters. Featuring a coaxial concentric dual-drive configuration, the inner mixing shaft drives a double helical ribbon agitator while the outer hollow shaft drives a heavy frame scraper agitator with flexible PTFE blades.
Three-Dimensional Counter-Current Mixing Dynamics
The inner double helical ribbon lifts dense sand and pigment aggregates upward and circulates them axially, while the outer frame agitator rotates in the opposing vector, continuously scraping high-viscosity paste off the mirror-polished vessel walls. This synchronized three-dimensional motion ensures complete batch homogeneity and prevents heavy quartz sand settlement without crushing color-coated granules.
Key Technical Highlights
- Concentric Dual-Shaft Coaxial System: Independent reduction gearboxes and variable frequency drives (VFD) allow separate speed optimization for the inner ribbon (0 – 85 rpm) and outer frame scraper (10 – 16 rpm).
- Preservation of Sand & Flake Geometry: Low-shear, high-convection blending prevents degradation or crushing of colored quartz sand, natural marble chips, and composite flakes in stone paints.
- PTFE Continuous Wall Scraping: Heavy-duty PTFE scraper blades cling tightly to the precision-lathed vessel wall, preventing material accumulation, eliminating dead zones, and enhancing heat transfer.
- Large Batch Capacities (0.7 m³ – 20 m³): Standard industrial configurations from 700 Liters up to 20,000 Liters per batch, suited for large-scale continuous architectural coating production.
- Custom Metallurgy & Explosion-Proof Standards: Available in wear-resistant SS304 / SS316L stainless steel, complete with pneumatic discharge slide valves and ATEX / Ex-proof electrical certifications.
