The PS series Concentric Double Shaft Mixing Kettle is a heavy-duty industrial compounding and dispersing system designed for high-solid content formulations (70% – 80%) and high-viscosity pastes ranging from 50,000 to 150,000 cps. Featuring a concentric coaxial dual-drive mechanism, the inner high-speed dispersing shaft drives a serrated Cowles disc (up to 1,480 rpm) for intensive hydraulic shearing and rapid powder de-agglomeration, while the outer coaxial anchor agitator (41 – 50 rpm) carries flexible PTFE (Teflon) scrapers that continuously wipe the mirror-polished vessel walls without leaving unmixed dead zones.
Coaxial Dual-Action Flow & Mirror-Polished Dynamics
The interior wall of the mixing kettle is CNC precision-lathed and mirror-polished to ensure 100% continuous contact with the Teflon scrapers. As the low-speed anchor frame sweeps the vessel periphery, adhering paste is continuously sheared off and folded back into the high-shear central vortex. This eliminates stagnant boundary layers, maximizes thermal heat transfer efficiency during heating or cooling cycles, and achieves uniform dispersion across large industrial batch volumes (1.0 m³ to 15.0 m³).

- Fixed or Hydraulic Elevation Designs: The central high-speed shaft assembly can be configured as a fixed reactor cover unit or equipped with hydraulic lifting travel for flexible vessel access and washdowns.
- Vacuum De-Aeration & Jacketed Temperature Control: Optional sealed vacuum covers (down to -0.095 MPa) eliminate micro-bubbles and foaming, while thermal jackets support steam heating, hot water, or chilled fluid cooling.
- Vibration-Free Heavy Structural Base: Heavy-duty baseplate and reinforced structural frame eliminate vibration and minimize operating noise during large-tonnage continuous production.
