The Paddle Blender can heat, cool, or dry materials under vacuum. It can also coat solid particles with small amounts of liquid. In addition, it can mix wet applications such as soups, batters, slurries and certain pastes.

The PRM series Paddle Blender consists of a horizontal U-shaped trough and a solid agitator shaft mounted with heavy-duty pitched paddle blades. These paddles are precisely angled to move dry powders and bulk solids both radially and axially in opposing directions. Compared to a traditional ribbon blender design—which inherently generates pinch points near vessel walls where delicate products may be compressed or sheared—the paddle agitator presents less peripheral surface area, imparting a significantly gentler blending action with minimal heat buildup.
- Gentle, Low-Shear Agitation: Ideal for fragile solids, friable granules, and abrasive formulations that require uniform blending without particle degradation or thermal friction buildup.
- Dual Axial & Radial Motion: Pitched paddles scoop, lift, and fold material continuously to achieve thorough batch homogeneity across both free-flowing and cohesive powders.
- Zero-Bypass Shaft Seals: Utilizes durable Teflon packing gland seals along the agitator shaft to eliminate powder leakage and protect bearing housings.
- Hygienic & Corrosion-Resistant Metallurgy: Fabricated in carbon steel, SS304, or SS316L stainless steel with mirror or satin internal polishes satisfying food, feed, and pharmaceutical standards.
- Custom Process Options: Configurable with liquid spray manifolds for binder coating, heating/cooling jackets, full-open lid mechanics for easy washdowns, and high-speed side choppers.
