Standard off-the-shelf equipment rarely matches the exact spatial constraints, chemical rheology, and operational workflows of a large commercial coating plant. In this Argentine project, POLYC engineers tackled three specific technical bottlenecks:
Challenge: The customer required automated high-precision additive dosing via load cells. However, rigid pipe connections on hydraulic lifting dispersion tanks transmit mechanical stress, causing severe weighing signal errors.
Solution: POLYC engineered flexible elastic bellows expansion pipes. This decoupled the weighing sensors from pipeline tension, preserving ±0.2% measurement accuracy during full stroke vertical lift.
Challenge: Producing 15,000 tons annually of water-based paint (<2,000 cps) without creating downstream bottlenecking.
Solution: A synchronized process sequence pairing 2 high-speed dispersers (for intense pigment wetting and Cowles shear) with 3 low-speed tinting/mixing tanks for gentle emulsion let-down and thickening without micro-bubble aeration.
Challenge: Manual charging of heavy calcium carbonate and titanium dioxide sacks generated hazardous airborne dust.
Solution: POLYC integrated negative-pressure bag dump stations matched to the customer's exact 25kg bag dimensions, equipped with pulse-jet reverse air filtration to maintain a spotless workshop environment.
Before manufacturing a single steel plate, POLYC submitted complete 3D layout schematics and process flow diagrams for multi-round customer confirmation, mapping every pipeline, valve, and load-cell sensor:

At the project inception, the customer had general production targets (~15,000 tons/year, <2,000 cps viscosity) but lacked exact equipment sizing and pumping specifications. POLYC took the initiative by generating an initial full-process technical drawing covering raw material intake, additive tanks, piping loops, and canning stations to establish a concrete discussion baseline.
Through collaborative engineering exchanges, the client added a powder feeding station, auxiliary transfer pumps, bag filters, and barrel packaging units. POLYC reviewed every conduit, cable tray, motor voltage specification (adapted to local Argentine power grid parameters), and finalized the equipment footprint drawings before cutting steel.
To guarantee zero commissioning friction, POLYC required the customer to ship actual latex resins, additives, and target plastic packaging containers directly to our Wuxi facility. Our technicians tested the filling nozzles and agitator blades against their real fluid samples, ensuring 100% mechanical compatibility prior to crating.
Throughout fabrication, POLYC provided real-time video and photographic updates across platform welding, motor assembly, shot blasting, painting, and export container packing. The delivery package included complete bilingual operation manuals, electrical circuit schematics, and step-by-step training videos.
